Jost Eckhardt - Director of Development

Jost Eckhardt joined Ai Squared in June 2001 as a Senior Developer. He was promoted to Director of Development in January, 2005. Jost received his Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin, Germany. Prior to his position with Ai Squared Jost was Co-founder and Director for Eco Kommunikation in Berlin, where he designed and developed an Off-Screen-Model (VSM), and a full featured Screen Reader (Insight) for Windows. He developed Utility Manager under contract for Microsoft which shipped with Windows 2000 and Windows XP operating systems.

As Director of Technology with Ai Squared Jost's responsibilities include managing the development group, project scheduling, software development process, and new product/feature management. Jost's achievements with Ai Squared include his participation as Senior Developer on ZoomText 8 and 9 releases, integrating and enhancing his Off-Screen-Model (now ZSM) in ZoomText for all-color-smoothing, xFont, and improved screen reading, designing and developing WebFinder and TextFinder features, designing and developing AHOI for improved application support in ZoomText, leading ZoomText 9 and 9.1 release as head of development, and implementing Extreme Programming methodologies.

Jost is married with a 3 year old son. Jost enjoys hiking, in-line skating, and playing music with his friends.

Doug Hacker - Director of Operations

Doug Hacker joined Ai Squared in May 2002. Doug received his Bachelor of Science in Systems Analysis from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Prior to his position with Ai Squared, Doug was Vice President of Streetmail.com: an email marketing firm specializing in locally targeted content and advertising with over one million subscribers. Before this he was Director of Research and Development with Relevant Equity Systems, a provider of business software systems for venture capital and private equity firms.

As Director of Operations for Ai Squared Doug's responsibilities include managing the Sales & Marketing group, managing the Operations and IT group, designing AiSquared.com's structure and back-end, internal systems and network administration, e-commerce and email marketing, materials and inventory, and product activation. Doug's achievements with Ai Squared include his conversion of Ai Squared.com, including e-commerce functionality and user accounts, and design and development of the infrastructure to support ZoomText product activations.

Doug is married with two children. His interests include music and vegetarian cooking.

Scott Moore - Director of Marketing

Scott Moore joined Ai Squared in May 1993. Scott received his AS in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, and General Accounting from Phillips Junior College in Melbourne, Florida. Prior to his position as Director of Marketing Scott has served as Product Manager, and Technical Support Manager for Ai Squared.

As Director of Marketing Scott's responsibilities include technical writing (manuals, help systems, technical articles), Marcom concepts and writing, composing the ZoomNews monthly newsletter and AiSquared.com website content, phone system programming, and product usability reviews. Scott's achievements with Ai Squared include Marcom and technical writing for various releases of ZoomText, Quality Assurance for various releases of ZoomText, tradeshow coordination and presentations, ZoomText localization, and phone system configuration and recordings.

Scott is married with 3 children (in college, high school, and preschool). He enjoys playing guitar and keyboards and singing.

Shawn Warren - Director of Product Support

Shawn Warren joined Ai Squared in June, 1996 as a Developer. Shawn received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Johnson State College, and attended two years of graduate studies in Applied Math at the University of Vermont in Burlington. Prior to his position with Ai Squared Shawn worked as an electrician. Before this, he worked as a nuclear power plant Mechanical Operator for the US Navy.

As Director of Product Support Shawn's responsibilities include managing the Technical Support group (3 employees), managing the Quality Assurance group (2 employees), prioritization of bugs with the Director of Development, TestTrack (issue tracking) database administration, interfacing with key customers on high priority support issues, release criteria documentation and communications, and directing periodic tier tests. Shawn's achievements with Ai Squared include the magnified and self-voicing ZoomText setup program, developing release engineering processes, and starting the QA department.

Shawn is married with 2 children in elementary school. He is a church deacon and holds a CTM certification as Competent Toastmaster.
